Dr.Ambedkar Arts & Science College, Periye was started in the year 2003 to commemorate Dr.Ambedkar, the eminent architect of Indian constitution, by promulgating higher education among the marginalized rustic people of this area. Now the College is run by Dr.Ambedkar educational & cultural Trust Periye. The formation of the educational development of this district the trust is giving prime importance to the development of the poor and backward classes of the society. Sri. M.Muhammed Haji the eminent business man is now holding the chairman. With his good grace the college is fast achieving its academic target.
The college imparts most modern methodology of education and aims at high standards in academic. The method of teaching is based on individual attention given to every student and special coaching is provided to below average academic performance. Emphesis is given to the development of the character, leadership qualities and responsibility of the students. Modern facilities are given for physical education and computer training.
